About Us
The International Digital Literacy Forum (idlf) was formed by Bhutta College of Education in 2015 with the aim to create digital awareness among academicians and community in general. The focus of the forum is to spread awareness about the use Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Education.
The main objectives of the forum are:
• To develop ability to use digital technology, communication tools or networks to locate evaluate, use and create information.
• To create an understanding and use of information in multiple formats from a wide range of sources when it is presented via computers.
• To develop a person’s ability to read and interpret media, to reproduce data and images through digital manipulations and to evaluate and apply new knowledge gained from digital environments.
• To infuse a working knowledge of current high-technology in various disciplines of education, engineering, architecture, agriculture, health, management, basic sciences, humanities, library sciences, art and culture.


1Idlf was organised by Bhutta college of Education on February5-6, 2015 on the theme “Redefining Literacy in the Emerging Digital Society”. Under this the following activities were carried out:
• International conference
• Workshop
• Exhibition
In 1idlf 300 delegates and students from all over the world participated and their views were published in two books “Redefining Literacy in the Emerging Indian Society”& “Digital Literacy: A need of paradigm shift from pedagogy.”


2Idlf was a 7 day Workshop of organised by Bhutta college of Education on February 9-15, 2016 in collaboration with World Punjabi Centre, Punjabi University, Patiala. In which more than 100 participants participated and gained the practical experience about how to use technology in classrooms.


National Conference Exhibition
The 3idlf is being organised by Bhutta College of Education on April 6, 2019 on the theme “Blended Learning for Gen Z: Smart Practice for Smart Learners”. The conference aims to encourage educational institutions to blend their classrooms education with digital and networking technologies to create future workforce now.
A digital poster making competition is also being organised to encourage every age group to participate and win cash prizes
